The second “Scripts and Calligraphy: Paths of the Soul” exhibition, which runs through September 2 at the Irqah Hospital in Riyadh, emphasises the spiritual aspects of the art form via both classic and modern pieces.
The exhibition, which was organised by the Ministry of Culture, features works by Egyptian jewellery designer Azza Fahmy and Saudi calligrapher and visual artist Bayan Barboud.Through the course of the exhibition, visitors will have the chance to learn about the aesthetic and practical aspects of Arabic calligraphy as a form of art and a representation of culture and tradition.
