Between May 8–18, Cairo Photo Week returns for its fourth edition, expanding across 14 Downtown Cairo locations for the first time.
Organized by Photopia under the theme “Scene Detection”, the festival is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and features over 20 exhibitions by top local and international photographers, including names like World Press Photo, Vogue, and Getty Images.
This year’s edition includes more than 100 talks, workshops, and live demos with creatives from over 15 countries, in collaboration with multiple embassies and cultural institutions. Photopia’s founder, Marwa Abu Leila, highlights the theme “Finding the View”, exploring photography’s future in the age of AI.
With free exhibitions, educational programs, photo tours, and its first-ever photography market offering equipment and services, Cairo Photo Week continues to attract thousands. For the first time, it also extends to New Cairo’s CDD at One Ninety on May 5.
